“Constructing at a

Crossroads”

I am a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of History at the University of Washington in Seattle. My research focuses on the Vietnam War where I examine both communist mass mobilization through cultural programs in the North and the role of Filipino laborers recruited by a U.S. construction consortium to build key infrastructure projects in the South. My work explores the intersections of war, labor migration, and Cold War state-building.
